Adelante believes in the community building power that free food distribution programs provide.
This funding will expand our efforts to engage with vulnerable populations who aren't being reached through traditional food pantry models.
Getting to know Adelante Comunidad Conejo, INC
Adelante creates opportunities for people to work together across differences in income, culture, language, age, ability, and background. While rooted in the Latino community, Adelante has grown into a visible example of inclusion - where people from different backgrounds build relationships, contribute to shared goals, and participate more fully in community life.
Adelante currently operates two successful public food distributions each month serving more than 300 households (1500 individuals) each month. We are expanding our efforts to reach vulnerable populations through smaller targeted distributions at locations where underserved populations gather such as senior centers, schools, disability day programs, and juvenile gang diversion headquarters.
