Funding will support access to nutritious food for families and children in Fairfield County, helping them get the food they need to thrive.
Getting to know Connecticut Foodshare
Connecticut Foodshare, a member of the national Feeding America network and the primary food bank serving all eight regions of the state, works to deliver a more informed and equitable response to hunger by mobilizing community partners, volunteers, and supporters throughout Connecticut. Working collaboratively with 650 local organizations, we provide immediate access to healthy, nutritious food for more than 560,000 people facing food insecurity across the state…
Connecticut Foodshare will provide immediate access to nutritious food for families and children in Fairfield County through 91 community agencies and 14 mobile distributions. Community agencies receive food from our inventory to distribute to local communities in need, while mobile distributions directly reach individuals who lack access to traditional food pantries and affordable supermarkets.
