Food for People, Inc.

Food for People, the Food Bank for Humboldt County, is working to eliminate hunger and improve the health and well-being of our community through access to healthy and nutritious foods, community education and advocacy.

This funding will allow Food for People to distribute weekly bags full of nutritious food directly to children during the school year and distribute weekly food boxes to families with children living in remote, rural areas of Humboldt County during the summer months. Our child nutrition programs ensure that even when children do not have access to free and reduced-cost meals at school, they have access to nutritious foods in order to maintain their health and wellbeing.
