In their own words

Food Now improves lives throughout the western Coachella Valley by providing food assistance, outreach, and supportive services to families and individuals facing hunger and financial hardship.

This funding will support Fuel for Success - Weekend Meals for Hungry Kids, helping expand the program from 210 students at seven schools to 300 students at ten schools by providing each child with breakfasts, lunches, and nutritious snacks for the weekend when school meals are not available.

Getting to know Food Now, Inc.

Who they are

Food Now improves the quality of life for Coachella Valley residents by providing food assistance, community outreach and support services which strengthen families and build healthy communities. We serve our communities with dignity and respect, helping to end hunger, reduce poverty, and improve the wellbeing of those we are privileged to serve.

What the program does

Fuel for Success provides children experiencing food insecurity with weekly weekend food packages containing two breakfasts, two lunches, and four snacks. Food Now purchases and packs the food; Palm Springs Unified School District FACE Specialists pick up the packages and deliver them to participating schools, where designated staff discreetly distribute them to students before the weekend.
