Getting to know Maui Food Bank, Inc.
The mission of Maui Food Bank is to end hunger in Maui County. We envision a future where everyone has access to safe and healthy food, and we are a steadfast partner in ensuring food security for our island communities.
Since 2012, Maui Food Bank’s Aloha BackPack Buddies program has bridged the weekend nutritional gap for food-insecure students by partnering with schools to discreetly distribute bags of easy-to-prepare meals every Friday. By integrating food delivery directly into the school environment, the program provides dignified, consistent weekend nourishment while saving busy families extra trips to traditional food pantries.
