CHF will purchase and distribute nutritious food, including fresh produce, lean protein, dairy, whole grains and pantry staples, through recurring community distributions in Dallas and Tarrant counties that prioritize households with children, including our Back to School distribution and holiday outreach. Funds cover the food itself plus the packaging, transportation, food safety supplies and volunteer support required to move it safely to families. This request is the companion to CHF’s Federal Meals application. Both address the same food insecurity from two angles, one moving families out of the food line through SNAP and WIC enrollment, this one ensuring children have consistent access to nutritious food.

Who they are

The Chris Howell Foundation provides programs and services to vulnerable communities that address disparities in health, wellness, and financial literacy. CHF’s programs and services empower individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency through skills development, increased knowledge, and access to necessary resources.
